The neighborhood of Long Island City/LIC, Queens (of NYC) is celebrating the arts!

Kickoff party Wed, May 14th 6:30-9:30pm at The Local NY hostel/bar/cafe/gallery where I will be wandering with my holster of markers and offering mini coloring pages. Art receptions every night! 

​

That weekend, come visit my studio and meet all the amazing artists in my building and around the area. Open 12-6pm both Saturday, May 17th & Sunday, May 18th  plus special events and afterparties nearby for mingling and live-sketching.

Regardless of appearances, my door will be open to share the artwork and process. But my hope is to reorganize the space effectively, and prepare special giveaways, new products, fun live activities, etc.

Closing reception with art auction on Sunday, May 18th with 10x10 boards, where I'll (hopefully) have artwork based on my #42 titled "What is the Answer?"

Assisting with an event in the park hosted by Jackson Heights Arts & Learning honoring Mother's Day. Music and crafts for families with kids up to 3 years old.

Free Comic Book Day is the 1st Saturday in May, where comic book shops often give away special or backstock books for free and host live events with comics creators.

As usual, I will have foldable mini-comics/

zines prepared to give away all day!

This includes at a story workshop I'm assisting at Broadway branch of the Queens Library 2-4pm, probably a 5-7ish evening appearance at Everyone Comics,

and opening gala at Alterworks.

(Missed the music at Culture Lab LIC that night, but will return soon.) The file will also be made available in the coloring area of my website to download and print from wherever you are!

Biggest independent comics art festival in NYC! Started by the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art, now organized by Society of Illustrators, awesome annual event.

If similar to previous years...

I will be there both days, volunteering and live-sketching the panels and festivities.

Everyone Comics 3rd birthday celebration, (and it's the day after mine too!) Join me and other artists there for an art-making party with store discounts, etc.

I won't be formally tabling, but am helping facilitate, providing coloring pages, and available for commissions & collaboration!

Gallery exhibit of holiday art, hosted at brooklynONE Productions / Tom Kaine Theatre within Industry City complex. 

I have art piece displayed on the wall, from a holiday-themed figure drawing session at Elle Studios, where the model was dressed like an Ice Queen. Among an amazing group of artists with such beautiful variety!
